Mbali, a beautiful and smart 28-year-old woman, has resorted to social media to reveal her feelings and the difficulties she has had finding love and beginning a family.
The young South African woman, who is appreciative of God’s grace, talked candidly about the difficulties she has meeting society’s expectations for marriage and children.
Mbali expressed her thanks for her employment, car, and advancements toward obtaining further education and owning a home despite her worries.
She asked on her X page whether it was bad to want more, which sparked an introspective conversation on expectations from society and one’s own goals.
She mentioned some of her own accomplishments in a follow-up piece.
She wrote, “It breaks my heart that at the age of 28, I’ve got no child & I can barely find love that’s secure, I don’t even think at my big age I know how it feels to be loved however, I’m so grateful for Gods’ favour & pray that he gives me the strength to accept what isn’t meant for me”.
She added, “I’ve got a job, I’ve got a car. I’m 2 board exams away from admission, better pay & property. Is it wrong to just yearn for something else?”
