Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has emerged as a target for multiple clubs, including QPR and Al-Ettifaq, following his standout performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
According to reports, both Queens Park Rangers from the EFL Championship and Al-Ettifaq from the Saudi Pro League are showing interest in signing the 27-year-old shot-stopper. Renowned Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano mentioned on his X handle that Nwabali is a prime target for several clubs, with both QPR and Al-Ettifaq expressing strong interest. He also noted that Chippa United, Nwabali’s current club, is open to considering offers during the upcoming summer transfer window.
“Nigeria GK Stanley Nwabali is attracting interest from different clubs such as Al Ettifaq in Saudi and Queens Park Rangers in the UK,” Romano wrote. “His South African club, Chippa United, will evaluate his potential move in the coming months.”
In addition to QPR and Al-Ettifaq, Nwabali has garnered attention from various other clubs, including Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, which happens to be the former club of Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface.
Despite the speculation surrounding his future, Nwabali remains committed to Chippa United and awaits concrete offers. He clarified, “I have only come across offers online. No formal offers have been presented to me.”
