Mason Greenwood, a striker, is reportedly being considered by Manchester United to return from his loan at Getafe FC.
The club’s initial position on the 22-year-old attacker will change with the decision, which is expected to be announced in a few months.
Greenwood, who signed a season-long loan with Getafe, has been playing for the La Liga team and has scored four goals in 11 appearances.
Recall that the loan move came after an investigation into Greenwood’s off-pitch behaviour which led United to conclude that he couldn’t continue his career at Old Trafford anymore.
However, with major changes expected at Manchester United, including the potential purchase of 25% of the club by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, there’s renewed consideration of Greenwood’s future at the club.
There is no doubt that such decision would partly be influenced by his current performances at Getafe, as discussions between the player and the club may occur in March, April, or May, recent reports revealed.
